As part of the institutional research project “ART – WITNESS OF TIME: Preservation of Skills and Revitalization of Traditional Sculptural and Conservation-Restoration Techniques for Material Processing through a Contemporary Curriculum – UMAS-USV, IP-UNIST-59,” renovation works on the stone-working workshop at Hercegovačka 65 began in July 2026.
The initial works included clearing and cleaning the premises, repainting the walls, and carrying out partial waterproofing of the roof. The workshop is also being fitted out with the necessary tools and a forge.
Once the renovation and fit-out are completed, the workshop will provide a dedicated space for teaching, practical workshops, and other activities within the project. It will serve as a platform for preserving and revitalizing traditional stone-working knowledge and skills while integrating them into contemporary educational practices.
