About department

The department of Wind Instruments offers specialist tuition on clarinet, flute and saxophone. The highest standard of solo and ensemble performance is reflected not only in awards that students regularly receive in competitions but also their ability to further their studies at leading international institutions. Students seize opportunities within the Erasmus exchange programme with much enthusiasm each year. We regularly invite guest lecturers, and the department collaborates with the orchestra of the Split National Theatre and the Wind Orchestra of the Croatian Navy. Supported by the auspices of the Croatian government, an annual ‘Flute Day’ is held in collaboration with ‘Split Musical Youth’.
