Assistant Professor Valjalo Kaporelo, PhD, delivered an online presentation titled “The Musical Manuscripts of the Franciscan Monastery in Dubrovnik as a Source for the Study of Cross-Adriatic Musical Networks in the Second Half of the Eighteenth and Early Nineteenth Centuries” at the international conference “Music Mobility and Cultural Exchanges Across the Eastern Mediterranean in Modern Times” (Lecce, February 20–21, 2026). The conference was organized by the University of Salento, the “Tito Schipa” State Conservatory of Music, RILM, and DEUMM. The presentation was part of a panel titled “Adriatic Musical Itineraries: Dalmatian Music in Cross-Adriatic Circulations (17th–19th Centuries).” Within the framework of the conference, Tomaso Resti’s (Lecce, 1765 – Split, 1830) Requiem in C minor for soloists, mixed choir, orchestra, and organ was premiered, based on the critical music edition edited by Jelica Valjalo Kaporelo (Arts Academy in Split, 2020). The piece was performed by the OLES Symphony Orchestra, the Lecce Opera Choir, Simona Gubello (soprano), Marinella Rizzo (alto), and Genki Inoue (tenor), under the baton of Massimo Raffa. The concert was held on February 20, 2026, at the Chiesa del Rosario in Lecce.
