Document and costume

The IDIUP project explores the relationship between the document and the costume. Documentary material is printed on the inner side of a trench coat, becoming an integral part of the costume used for both performance and exhibition. The costume thus acts as a medium where the document, documentation, and object converge, raising questions about their mutual transformation and status within the artistic process. The trench coat is displayed as part of the exhibition *Inventing the Past, Imagining the Future(Iz)mišljanje prošlosti, (Za)mišljanje budućnosti, which will open on October 15, 2026, at the Rector's Palace of the Zadar City Museum. The resulting process is further documented and contextualized through a website, a database, and a film about the project's documentation.
