About the exhibition:
The Nam June Paik Art Center opens its doors in 2026 with the exhibition Circuits of Chance/Circuits of Chance, which is the result of a long-term collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb. The exhibition brings together works by mainly Croatian artists, exploring invisible connections and resonances with the practice of Nam June Paik. Paik's idea that "the feedback of new contacts that give rise to new content, and new content gives rise to new contacts" reflects the dynamics that the exhibition aims to present - networks of relationships that are created and transformed anew. Although they originate from different contexts, the works of Paik and Croatian artists unexpectedly overlap, opening up space for multi-layered interaction and new, shared signals.

The exhibition and the program of experimental film and video works will also feature teachers from the Department of Film and Video: Prof. Art. Slobodan Jokić (Dan Oki), Prof. Art. Toni Meštrović and Prof. Art. Sandra Sterle.

The exhibition was financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the City Office for Culture and Civil Society of the City of Zagreb and the Nam June Paik Art Center.

As part of the IDIUP project, the works in the exhibition, interviews with artists and curators at the exhibition were documented.
