As part of the activities, a preliminary field research of the music collection at the Blaca Hermitage on the island of Brač was conducted, with the participation of student Mislav Čargo for the purpose of his master’s thesis. The research was carried out with the permission of the Culture Center of Brač and included an insight into the available material, a basic identification and review of the musical sources, as well as the collection of initial data relevant for further analysis. The activity aimed to establish a foundation for a more systematic research and processing of the music collection, as well as to connect field work with the teaching and research process. Special emphasis was placed on training the student for independent research work through practical experience with original source materials.
