The final exhibition of the Department of Painting at the Arts Academy in Split, titled Production 2026, was held at the Gallery of the Multimedia Cultural Center Split (Dom mladih) from June 11 to June 18, 2026. The exhibition was organized in collaboration between the Arts Academy in Split and the Multimedia Cultural Center Split, and it opened on June 11 at 8 p.m.

The exhibition presented works by undergraduate and graduate students created during the 2025/2026 academic year through various practical courses within the curriculum. It offered insight into recent student production at the Department of Painting, showcasing works in painting, drawing, installation, expanded painting practices, and other contemporary artistic media.

The Department of Painting’s program focuses on developing individual artistic approaches, research-based work, and critical reflection on contemporary artistic practice, while remaining open to diverse artistic interests and theoretical perspectives within visual culture. The exhibition therefore highlighted the diversity of artistic approaches and interests among students, as well as the results of their work throughout the academic year.

One of the important goals of the exhibition was to provide students with experience in presenting their works within a professional gallery context, including participation in the production process, exhibition setup, public presentation, and direct interaction with the audience.

The exhibition was open to the public every day except Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free admission.

The program was carried out as part of the institutional research project KUZ: Contact – Art in the Community, with the aim of promoting the study program and familiarizing the public with the results of the teaching process at the Department of Painting of the Arts Academy in Split.
