This year's fourteenth edition of the festival is organised by the ARTEMIS Music and Arts Association in cooperation with the Music Department of the University of Split Academy of Arts, the Josip Hatze School of Music and the Croatian National Theatre Split under the patronage of the City of Split.

The 14th Bach Days begin on Tuesday, March 24th, with a traditional concert by students of the Josip Hatze School of Music and students of the University of Split Academy of Arts, which will be held in the Jakov Gotovac Salon in the Croatian House Split, starting at 6 p.m.

The project "J. S. Bach Days" is the first monographic event in Croatia dedicated to the composer's work. It was initiated in 2012 by professors of the Music Department of the Academy of Arts of the University of Split – Vesna Podrug and Wladimir Kossjanenko – and has been organised every year since then on the composer's birthday – March 21. In the following years, the number of participants has constantly increased, with great interest from the audience. In collaboration with prominent Croatian and international musicians, significant concert projects have been realised, such as integral consecutive performances of 6 Suites for Cello Solo, 6 Sonatas and Partitas for Violin Solo, two books of Well-Tuned Piano, "The Art of Fugue", the Coffee Cantata, and numerous compositions by J. S. Bach and Bach's contemporaries. More than forty concerts and five lectures have been held, in which more than 150 musicians of all generations from 15 countries participated. The European Festival Association EFA in Brussels awarded Bach Days the title of "Remarkable Arts Festival of Europe 2019-2021".
