On March 1, 2026, a Saxophone Masterclass organized by the Department of Wind Instruments of the Arts Academy in Split was held at Trg Hrvatske bratske zajednice 3. The activity took place from 9 AM to 6 PM through individual and group classes, and was led by Assoc. Prof. Gordan Tudor, the Head of the Department. Prof. Matjaž Drevenšek (University of Ljubljana), Prof. Dragan Sremec, and Prof. Saša Nestorović (Academy of Music in Zagreb) participated in the implementation. The masterclass gathered a total of 14 participants, including saxophone students from UMAS and final-year students from secondary music schools, including the Josip Hatze Music School. The program included lectures and practical workshops focused on interpretation, playing technique, and artistic expression, with an emphasis on an individual approach to each participant. The activity was carried out according to plan and contributed to improving the participants' performance skills and strengthening collaboration between educational institutions in the field of music education.
The activity was implemented as part of the program "SAX/UMAS: training program for young saxophonists – annual concert-pedagogical summit – OPEN STAGE – UMAS Masterclass platform".
