Faculty members participated in the international musicological conference "Music Migrations and the Opera in the Mediterranean", held on April 23 and 24, 2026, at the Hvar Theatre. Assist. Prof. Dr. Sc. Jelica Valjalo Kaporelo presented a joint paper with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Massimo Raffa from the University of Salento, titled "Musical Discourse and Dramaturgy in the Requiem in C Minor (1802) by Tomaso Resti". In addition to the presentation, she served on the conference's Organizing Committee and moderated the session "Musical Networks and Transnational Exchange"
The conference brought together musicologists, university faculty, and young researchers from several countries. This participation contributed to the development of international scientific collaboration, the presentation of UMAS research work, and the enhancement of the Academy's visibility in the international academic environment. The event resulted in one international conference presentation and established an international collaboration between the Arts Academy in Split and the University of Salento.
