As part of the project Research on the Documentation and Performance of Artistic Practice – IDIUP: IP-UNIST-55, a workshop will be held for interested UMAS students and teachers entitled “Photographic Approaches: Between Documentation and Document”, led by external associate, senior assistant Glorija Lizde, MA. Art.
The three-day workshop is dedicated to documentation processes and approaches in photography. The first part of the workshop focuses on practical work in documentary, reproduction photography and on ways of documenting three-dimensional objects and works of art. In addition to an introductory lecture, students and teachers will photograph selected objects in studio conditions. The second part of the workshop deals with the archival document as the starting point for artistic work, with an artistic exercise that will be realized using archival documents and photographs.
The workshop will be held on May 18, 20 and 22 from 2 to 5 pm in the premises of the Film and Video Department at Gripe at the Split Academy of Arts.
To participate in the workshop, it is desirable to have your own camera.

Glorija Lizde (1991, Split) completed her undergraduate studies in film and video at the Split Academy of Arts and her graduate studies in photography at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. In her artistic work, she explores the themes of family relationships, trauma, genetic heritage and memory using documentary and staged photography.
She has had several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, including O21 OSTRALE Biennale, Residency Unlimited New York, Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center, QUAD Gallery, Benaki Museum, 57th Zagreb Salon, The Bridge and Tunnel Gallery New York, Illuminated Room – Women's Photography Practice in Croatia... She was nominated for the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass 2020 and is one of the selected photographers in the international program for upcoming artists Parallel – European Photo Based Platform 2018 and 2021. She is the recipient of the Dr. Éva Kahán Foundation scholarship and residency for 2022 and the winner of the Radoslav Putar Award 2022 for best young artist.
