Concerto-Lezione su Tomaso Resti. Lecce-Spalato: un ponte musicale ritrovato - Video Lecture

On December 12, 2025, Assistant Professor Jelica Valjalo Kaporelo, PhD, delivered a video lecture titled “Reconstructing Musical Bridges Across the Adriatic: Tomaso Resti in the Cultural Centers of Dalmatia.” The lecture was part of a public event at the University of Salento (Italy) aimed at presenting the life and work of Tomaso Resti (Lecce, 1765 – Split, 1830), an Italian musician who was active in various Dalmatian musical centers—Dubrovnik, Zadar, and Split—from 1790 until his death. Resti's musical legacy at the Franciscan Monastery in Dubrovnik was presented, with a special emphasis on his Requiem in C minor for soloists, mixed choir, orchestra, and organ (1802). On this occasion, two movements from Resti's Requiem were premiered.
